It's about a project I started on Facebook and I wanted to make something similar here too.
Day 12 - The songs that helps you to sleep (Rino Gaetano - 6/8)
Actually I'm used to fall asleep with hardcore stuff in my ears. But lately I started to find relaxing to listen to that song before sleep. You should check it out because is a really sweet (but naughty) lullaby.
Rino Gaetano was a great artist in Italy in the 70's. But he was too ahead of the times for Italy so he was always censored. He also was one of the first artists in Italy to openly use drugs, admit it and trying to get out of them. He died in a car crash in early 80's, unfortunately.
I've started to really listen to him, after years of just listening to the major songs, after we befriend his official cover band, led by his nephew Alessandro. We just like followed them everywhere this summer (with them and Ministri I've always been around a lot, tought it helped me) and I started appreciating also the minor ones.
"As night was coming down starry
Tapered in the dark she deamed enchanted.
Who'll take my hand tonight, my God?
Maybe a boy, my man or maybe myself.
Faraway quiet and mountains white from snow
And winds that blow strong and gentle.
And who'll graze my lips? Who'll comfort me?
Maybe a boy grown up or myself alone.
Night ticked by and hours ticked faster
The cold room already was warmed by love.
Who'll find my breasts will gain my heart
Who'll meet my breasts will have all my love.
The discret light spied and created shadows
while on the sea a painted moon danced.
Who'll pick my flower wet with dew?
A charming prince or maybe my adult self, my child self.
As the night was coming down starry
Tapered in the dark she dreamed enchanted.
And who'll tell me goodnight tonight my God?
The night, the stars, the moon or me alone?"
